Red, White & Blue Sangria Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1 cup of strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup of pineapple chunks
- 1 apple, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup of vodka
- 1/4 cup of triple sec
- 1/4 cup of simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup of sparkling water or club soda
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Fruit:
- Wash and slice the strawberries.
- Core and slice the apple.
- If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks.
- Mix the Ingredients:
- In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, vodka, triple sec, and simple syrup.
- Add the blueberries, strawberries, pineapple chunks, and apple slices to the pitcher.
- Stir the mixture gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Chill:
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Before Serving:
- Just before serving, add the sparkling water or club soda to the pitcher.
- Add ice cubes to the pitcher to keep the sangria chilled.
- Stir gently to mix.
- Serve:
- Pour the sangria into glasses, making sure to include some fruit pieces in each glass.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
