Red, White & Blue Sangria Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 cup of strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup of pineapple chunks
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup of vodka
  • 1/4 cup of triple sec
  • 1/4 cup of simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup of sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fruit:
    • Wash and slice the strawberries.
    • Core and slice the apple.
    • If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:
    • In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, vodka, triple sec, and simple syrup.
    • Add the blueberries, strawberries, pineapple chunks, and apple slices to the pitcher.
    • Stir the mixture gently to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Chill:
    • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Before Serving:
    • Just before serving, add the sparkling water or club soda to the pitcher.
    • Add ice cubes to the pitcher to keep the sangria chilled.
    • Stir gently to mix.
  5. Serve:
    • Pour the sangria into glasses, making sure to include some fruit pieces in each glass.
    • Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
